Born to carry – Kundalini Yoga for Women and Mothers

There is a power that is older than words – a power that carries life, wisdom, pain and love in equal parts. The archetypal mother lives in all of us, whether we have given birth or not. She is the protector, the nurturer, the perseverant – but also the one who sets boundaries, lets go and lets things die when the time is right.

We carry our children, our dreams, our stories. We carry joys, sorrows, longings and hopes. We carry the voices of the generations, and we carry ourselves – through light and darkness, strength and surrender.

Born to Carry is a six-week Kundalini yoga series created for those who want to connect with this power – not just as a role, but as an essential part of who you are.

Through powerful kriyas, breathing techniques and mantras, we open up to the six essential qualities that reside in the archetypal mother:

Strength – The inner power that allows us to carry, feed and stand firm through life’s trials. The ability to endure, protect and create security.

Softness – The ability to be receptive, listen and nurture. The deep feminine power that knows when to flow with life instead of fighting it.

Intuition – The inner voice that knows. A mother’s gaze that sees behind the words, a gut feeling that knows the truth. An ancient knowledge that lives in the body.

Calmness – The ability to stand in chaos without getting carried away. The breath, the silence, the inner space where stress, demands and anxiety melt away.

Creativity – The life force that creates, whether it’s a child, a vision or a new path. The ability to shape, dream and bring something new into the world.

Transformation – The dark but necessary part of motherhood. The ability to let go, set boundaries, say no. To let what is dead rest. Knowing when something needs to end in order for something new to grow.

This is a space where motherhood is recognized as the transformation it is – whether you carry life in your body, in your soul or in the world.

This is for those who:

– are pregnant and want to prepare your body, mind and soul for birth and motherhood

– already a mother and want to strengthen the nervous system, find balance and get more energy

– planning to get pregnant and want to strengthen the connection to your feminine power

– long to be held in a room of women where motherhood is recognized as a path to deep self-awareness

Each class weaves together rituals, movement, breath and sound – a practice of drawing power from what we carry, and finding rest in what we let go.

What you should bring:

To create the most comfortable and nurturing practice possible, it is recommended to bring:

– A yoga mat

– A blanket or shawl for comfort during meditation

– A water bottle

– A notebook and pen for reflection

– Comfortable clothes that let you move freely
